KITR is a company established as Korean Institute of Insulation Technology in 2013 based on the experience of performing insulation activities for many oil & gas and shipping projects since 1999.
KITR has an innovative growth type venture certification and operates an insulation nationally accredited corporate research institute.

At KITR’s research institute, we are developing the Korean Insulation standard and researching various thermal insulation installation technologies related to the shipbuilding/offshore field.
Additionally, we are also researching and testing new Insulation systems including the multi-layer insulation system field combined with a vacuum designed for the Liquid Hydrogen market.
2. Insulation technology training.
KITR is conducting various Insulation training courses accredited by Exemplar Global and FROSIO aiming to educate, achieve and maintain the high standards of Insulation in Korea.
Insulation training and certification courses and being conducted in-conjunction with the Korean Research institute of ships & Ocean engineering under the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries of Korea.
In addition, high school insulation lectures including the Naval Academy High School are being conducted.
3. Insulation material performance test
KITR is conducting various tests targeting domestic companies.
KITR has a thermal test facility that can test the performance of materials above 500’C and a cryogenic test facility that can test the performance of materials at -200’C.
Through this, we perform insulation system test contracts with several domestic insulation companies.
4. Thermal insulation technical advice
KITR provides technical advice to domestic insulation companies, provides special insulation advice and construction, also dispatches highly trained quality inspectors and field supervisors with international insulation technology certifications.
KITR is a company that is ready to respond to all thermal insulation technologies encountered in shipbuilding/offshore projects with the experience of carrying out numerous oil major projects.
